The Alabaster Travertine: Sourcing the World’s Finest Stones

Stone is the physical voice of your building. A block chosen with care brings the scale of nature into the scale of home.
— Amira Break, Architectural Insight1. The Quarry Bed Selection
We do not buy slabs from third-party distributors. We travel directly to the quarry beds. Slabs sliced from the center of a block offer the most stable crystalline structure and consistent veining patterns. We look for blocks that have remained dry and uncracked for millions of years, ensuring that when we install them in luxury villas, they remain structurally pristine.
2. Vein Matching & Calibrations
Once slabs are sliced, we use digital vein-mapping software to dry-lay every piece before shipping. This is critical for columns and feature walls where veining must connect flawlessly. Our contracting team aligns patterns so that the joints disappear, presenting the final surface as a singular, monumental piece of stone sculpted by nature.

3. Surface Finishes: Sawn vs. Polished
For interior walls, we prefer a sawn-cut, unfilled finish that preserves the porous, volcanic character of travertine. In high-use areas like culinary spaces, we apply custom micro-sealants that protect against staining while preserving the tactile, velvet texture of the stone, balancing practical durability with organic design purity.
